Speaking of insane grinds (Hawaiian food) this place is amazing! Again, nothing fancy and you might pass right by it if you didn’t know what to look for. It is an old converted house that specializes in Lau Lau. Lau Lau is a steamed pork or chicken wrapped in Taro leaves. I have never had Lau Lau as good as I have had at this location. If you like spinach, you will love it! It is made fresh daily and it can get really busy with locals… and she DOES run out. You step up to the counter, order and then sit on Costco plastic tables to eat. It kind of reminds me of the “Soup Nazi” episode on Seinfeld… but the owner is actually really nice. No nonsense but nice. They also have really good Kailua Pork. I would recommend the pork Lau Lau and Kailua Pork combo plate. Make sure you put some chili water on the Lau Lau and rice. This is the traditional place to go for Hawaiian plate grinds for sure Bradda! It is about 20 minutes South of the condo on your way to Two Steps. If you go snorkeling at Two Steps (which you really should) hit this place on way there or back. Make sure you call to see if they are open and if they still have Lau Lau.
